Registered as a 1928, although it looks more like a 1930. It has Insert Rod bearings, Babbitt babbitt mains, Reds Header Exhaust, Weber Intake and Carburetor, Brumfield 5.9 Head, Oversize Intake Valves, 12 volt battery, 3 Speed transmission, Open Drive Line, 19” Model A Ford wheels, Model A Body front (from cowl forward) with custom sheet metal Boat Tail rear. The gas tank is under the Boat Tail, so it has an electric fuel pump. The folding bucket seats are vinyl from a later model van. It has a Model A Front End/Steering and Rear End (3.78:1). I did not build this Speedster, so I am going on what the builder told me about it. I am building a 1930 Speedster, but it is not quite done. I have owned a lot of Model A’s since 1954 (sedans, coupes, cabriolets, station wagons and speedsters), but my wife and I agree that the speedster is the most fun to drive and ride in. That is why I am building one, but I am selling one as I do not need two.
It is in good running condition.

1930 Roadster Pickup

Originally purchased in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska in 1930, then to a farm in Waterloo, Iowa. This truck found its way into a 1957 parade in SE Michigan then stored in a garage in Livonia MI. Then purchased in 2004, with complete restoration started in 2009.
The frame was sandblasted, and every part on the truck was replaced or rebuilt. All parts were glass beaded and painted as they went back together. Entire cab and bed replaced with new. Engine rebuilt. The interior was restored to factory original. New wiring throughout. New exhaust. New tires and shocks, brakes. New radiator. Battery in 2022.
The top was for a Deluxe 30 Roadster, the only non-appropriate part but looks great. Side curtains by LeBarron Bonney. The body color is Thorn Brown. This with the black fenders looks amazing.
It won many awards over the years, including several at the AACA show at the Henry Ford Museum.
She runs like new, never fails to start quickly, comfortable and drives beautifully. Can have the gentleman who did the restoration answer any and all questions.

This carefully restored popcorn wagon is a 1928 AA Popcorn Wagon with unique history. Originally operated as “Tony’s World’s Best Popcorn” in Detroit MI. Henry Ford himself bought popcorn for his grandchildren from this wagon. In 1963 the Popcorn Wagon was retired to Greenfield Village where it also offered popcorn to museum visitors. Later on, it left the village and sat for some years before I bought it and gave it a full restoration. The AA runs great and now is looking for its next home and assignment as it is ready to vend the best popcorn again!
