The Welcome Party was Special…..
The Leahy Family (all of them) well, almost all of them, were just fantastic as they sang, danced and played all kinds of musical instruments. But as they played on, we noticed that Mom is expecting another little one. Mom, while playing the keyboard was nodding and making sure all the kids were ready and on queue at all times. Mom did this and the kids were always where they needed to be and ready to go. They were an inspiration to all who attended. What a wonderful family and great entertainment! And we are sure that the birth of a Seventh Leahy child will add another musician to the singing and dancing. When asked of one of the little children how often do you practice? I was told “we practice every day” and then I came back with what about Sunday I got very strong response which was “we practice every day” very cute and wonderful children. I for one, would love to see them perform again!
Howard Kriebel kept the kids interested in Rebuilding Transmissions
Howard did a great job in teaching the kids how to build a transmission….maybe next year a frame and pretty soon we will have these kids driving a Model A Ford.
John and Amy Work together to put it back together where did all these parts come from???
It was a light bulb moment when they learned how to heat up a bearing and slide it onto the trans shaft….
Wedding Fashions were Fabulous in Niagara Falls
The Era Fashion committee held a mock wedding in the Wedding/Honeymoon capital of the world, Niagara Falls. The crowd watching all of these activities were entertained by all of the Fashion Festivities. The wedding was highlighted by the fact that the bride was wearing the same wedding dress that Mary Markes’ Mom wore on her wedding day in 1929. This really added to making the mock wedding very special.
The Model A Restorers Club Fashion Committee is renowned for hosting great Fashion Shows and Events. This year in Niagara Falls was no exception and the crowd was very happy to see the fashion Show and watch an interesting era movie.
Please visit the Fashion Section of this web site to read more about this wonderful event.
MARC Niagara Meet was over the TOP!
A fantastic International Model A Meet was held in Niagara Falls Ontario.
In June this past summer over 400 Model A Fords were seen visiting one of the great “Wonders of the World”. These old car enthusiasts enjoyed a wonderful Canadian experience in Niagara Falls Ontario. The week long visit could not have been better as people came from as far away as Australia and Germany, and all ove rthe United States making this event a truly “International Affair”. It was an “International Affair” with a “Flair”.
