Fashion Seminar Membership Meet 2016
The MARC Fashion Committee presented a seminar of the fashions of 1929 at the Flint Membership Meet April 9, 2016.
The seminar began with a historical overview of the period and then focused on women’s fashions of the era. Particular attention was given to a discussion of the difference of 1928 and 1929. One of the distinguishing marks is that the “waistline” was moving to the top of the hip bone.
Several dresses from the era were on display.
